C V Raman Award - 2008-09 was given to Shri Prithiraj Ray, Class – XII, North Ghilatali  (Ratia),Teliamura, West Tripura as he secured 1st position in the State Level Science Fair-2008-09 among the model/exhibits of the school students. His model/exhibit entitled “Tractor Directed by Solar Energy & Its Various Uses.”
 

Homi Jehangir Bhabha Award – 2008-09 was given to Shri Subrata Chanda, student of National Institute of Technology, Agartala as he secured 1st position in the State Level Science Fair-2008-09 among the model/exhibits of students of Institutes of Higher & Technical Education. The name of his model/exhibit was “An Environment Friendly Energy Efficient Smoke House Rubber Sheet Drying with Improved Quality and Drying Rate.”

Dr. Syed Arshad Hussain, Lecturer, Department of Physics, Tripura University was selected for Sir J C Bose Award – 2008-09 for his contribution in the field of Material Science and Spectroscopy.

Acharjee Prafulla Chandra Roy Award – 2008-09 for Societal Application of Technologies was skipped off.

Tripura Mathematical Society, Agartala got the Meghnad Saha Award - 2008-09 for Science Popularization/Communication.
